Automotive Recycling

Auto recycling has become an important part of the automotive industry. The proper disposal and recycling of automotive parts, fluids and scrap metals have become an important step in the life of a vehicle.

Each year, thousands of vehicles reach the end of their useful life through age, accident or vandalism. John’s Auto Parts is among the leaders in the recycling industry and in the development of procedures that protect our air, soil and ground water. Recycling also saves energy and natural resources, by reprocessing used metals, by reusing salvageable automotive parts that are removed from scrap vehicles, and by recycling the fluids that are removed from the junked vehicles.

John’s Auto Parts continues to work with the Anoka County and State of Minnesota environmental agencies to make sure we stay abreast of governmental changes. John’s is proud of the fact that owner Harry Haluptzok wrote the 1st automotive recycling “how to” manuals for the automotive dismantling industry and worked with the State of Minnesota, with Anoka County and with the City of Blaine in establishing the environmental standards for the industry.

During 2004, John’s Auto Parts received the MetroNorth Chamber of Commerce Small Business of the Year award for 2004. John’s Auto Parts is a long-time Chamber member.  In 2008, John's Auto Parts was recognized by Anoka County for their Environmental and Recycling efforts.
