 Engines and Transmissions
Drivetrain components are a large focus for us at John's Auto Parts. We try to run every engine while still in the vehicle so we can hear it to make sure everything sounds ok, then after they are removed we run a compression check to ensure consistent readings across all cylinders. Engines with higher miles are often opened up and checked for excessive wear, and if they are ok we put in new seals and bearings to ensure a long life in their next vehicle. We also test the transmissions and 4x4 transfer cases for proper operation while still in the vehicle when possible.
We also stock a large selection of rebuilt engines, transmissions, and transfer cases.
